OK I'm pregnant and here are the rants and raves of somebody who's mind has been turned to mush.

FAQ's Answers

Yes, I really am pregnant.

No, it wasn't planned.

No, I haven't been sick so wipe the eager look off your face.

I'm currently 14 weeks pregnant.

No, I haven't had cravings.

No, I don't know what it is and I don't want to find out - chances are it's a baby I'd prefer a giraffe, but I think that's highly unlikely to happen.

No, it isn't AMAZING or a MIRACLE, if being pregnant is a miracle then so is sneezing. There is nothing biologically significant in either function, my body is apparently able to do both.

No, I'm not enjoying this and I don't care what you think about that.

Right now I don't love it, IMNSHO you may as well love a freckle at this stage. When it's born I'll love it (genetic pre-programming at it's best) and yes I'm ok with being pregnant and I don't want it to change.

There will be more ramblings later.

OK, I've been off line - did you miss me?

Reason 1: The move made even more stressful due to his mothers partner being a plank. I'm over it now and don't want to talk about it.

Reason 2: Getting run over by a bmw doing about 10 mph and being left purple not in a good way. Although arnica gel and tablets have made the purple yellow very quickly. Oh, and I've got a fractured toe as well.

thought I'd get that done and out of the way first:)

However, I'm not upset Bernard Manning is dead. His 'comedy' was misogynistic, racist and to quote Mr Burns; specialist.

This kind of humour pointed out our differences and helped to instil fear because of them. In the UK we didn't have a cold war propaganda machine to pump out fear at us at every turn as happened in the USA so we did not see the rise of the Jerry Farwell’s who helped to foster fear. I think in the UK we had more subtle and slightly more evil fear mongers, these people couldn't play on the fear being pumped out by government, during the 50's the UK government was mostly interested in making sure there was enough to eat and recovering from a very costly war, there were no additional resources to devote to pointing at bogey men and thus did not leave a legacy of fear for others to fill. Fear still seams to have found a way in and imnsho it was through 'comedy' such as Man About the House or Till Death Do Us Part which even as a child I didn't get the jokes although my parents (both quite racist) seemed to find hilarious. This type of 'humour' was all outward facing which helped to engender fear of the other. The things I love about the comics I like now is it's internal, they look at themselves and find things to point at and say that's absurd then they look at the outside world and point that out to the rest of us. Now, another fear peddler is gone and the world will be a better place for it.

I send my sympathies to Mr Manning’s family as they have lost a loved one and wish them well during their grief process.

However, I kinda hope the person waiting for Mr Manning on the other side is a one legged, lesbian, black, single mother - but then I'm evil, it's a gift.
